We use the word “expressions” to describe the behavioral shifts that people living with dementia will often show. Some of the most common expressions are aggression, pacing and exit-seeking, disruptive vocalization, hoarding, nudity, and hallucinations.

When an individual’s communication is limited, knowing how to interpret an expression can provide key insights for meeting all of their physical and emotional needs.

Whether a resident is experiencing fear, boredom, fatigue, coping with a change in medication, or feeling sensitive to environmental triggers such as light level and noise level, we’re here to help. Even the slightest modifications can make a world of difference.

Meal-Time at CornerStone

Because we believe in resident-directed care, we offer the choice between two entrees for every meal. We can also supplement nutrition with finger foods as needed.

To enhance the dining experience, team members join residents at meals as well. This helps reaffirm our relationships day-in and day-out. In addition, our community has regularly-scheduled invitations for family-style dining. Loved ones are always encouraged to visit and share quality time whenever possible!

CornerStone is proud to offer convenient, month-by-month living arrangements and care for residents living with dementia. Our community includes 50 apartments with varying floorplans, group activity spaces, two centralized dining rooms and bistro, secure courtyards, and a host of resort-like settings and services.

We also offer Companion Living, which allows two non-relatives of the same sex to share their own suite. Having a roommate can often ease the transition of living in a new community.

In addition to rent savings, the benefits of Companion Living have been shown to increase appetite, improve sleep, and foster more confident and energized socialization.

CornerStone is designed to be clean and inviting—both inside and out! An exterior patio and garden space ensure that we can make the most of good weather.

Included with Suite Rental

Upon request, additional services are available for a nominal fee. We’re always happy to accommodate private transportation, extra laundry needs, onsite salon and bath-spa services, and guest meals for visitors.

Pets are also welcome! With a one-time fee and monthly payment arrangements, we’ll help support your loved one with all of their pet care needs.

We offer comfortable, resort-style living. And with quality medical care, we help give families even more peace of mind.

Community Essentials

Suite rentals include all of the best aspects of community living, as well. Our memory care programs, group dining with team members, and life enrichment rooms serve as an effective antidote to loneliness and work to improve quality of life across the board.

CornerStone is proud to employ 24-hour care managers and have electronic health records available to families. Our full-time licensed nurse is also on-call 24/7.
