Leadership Team

Theresa DAmore

Executive Director

Theresa serves as the Executive Manager at Cornerstone Senior Living, bringing years of hands-on experience and a deep commitment to serving others. She first joined the community in 2017, when it was operated under a different name, and has been a consistent and compassionate presence through its transition to Cornerstone in 2022.

With a background in administrative support roles, Theresa found her calling in senior living in 2016 and quickly connected with the mission of caring for older adults. Her attention to detail and warm, approachable nature have made her a trusted support to both residents and team members across departments.

Driven by her faith and a heart for service, Theresa is dedicated to creating a positive, respectful environment where seniors feel valued and employees feel supported. Outside of work, she enjoys singing, baking, and spending quality time with her family and their two dogs.

Being servant minded, Theresa has worked hard as a Receptionist, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant, and has grown her career to an Executive-Level Admin, serving officers of large, global corporations. Her calling to help people eventually led her to study Psychology and Social Work at Boise State University. She then served as a court advocate, volunteer with The Boys & Girls Club of Nampa, and intake associate for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance before returning to school for Human Resources and Business Management.

Still yearning to help others, Theresa found a position with a Senior Living community in 2016 as a Business Office Manager. She fell in love with the industry and all the residents and the amazing team.

In 2017, Theresa opened this community with Lesley Jacobson as her Business Office Manager and continued to gain experience in every department. She puts 100% of her trust in God, and she continues to look forward to working with a team of heroes who share the same passion and mission: to serve Seniors in the best way possible with love, compassion, and respect. She truly feels that this is where she is meant to be—home.

Theresa’s immediate family is exceptionally supportive as well. Her son also works at the CornerStone community and enjoys spending time with the residents. When she’s not working, Theresa enjoys singing, baking, and spending time with her family and their two dogs.

Ana Avalos

Activity Coordinator

Ana Avalos serves as the Activity Coordinator at Cornerstone Senior Living, where she plays a key role in enriching the daily lives of residents through meaningful engagement and individualized programming. She brings creativity, compassion, and a strong commitment to understanding each resident as a whole person, especially those with limited communication.

Ana recognizes that expressions and behaviors often communicate important needs. Residents may be experiencing fear, boredom, fatigue, medication changes, or sensitivity to environmental factors such as light or noise. With this understanding, she focuses on thoughtful adjustments and supportive interventions that can significantly improve comfort, mood, and overall well-being.

Her approach is rooted in holistic, resident-directed care that encourages independence while honoring personal preferences and emotional needs. Rather than simply responding to challenges, Ana helps guide residents toward their strengths, interests, and sources of enjoyment.

Her programming incorporates a variety of therapeutic and engaging experiences, including daily music, aromatherapy, poetry, art, horticulture, pet therapy, and cognitive games. Each activity is intentionally designed to promote connection, stimulation, and a sense of purpose.

Through a relationship-based approach, Ana fosters a warm and inclusive environment where residents feel understood, respected, and valued each day.
