Families reach out to CornerStone because they’re struggling with the realities of memory impairment. Accepting a diagnosis of dementia is never easy. But in our philosophy, there are always ways to connect with the essence of a person.
Our team provides more than memory care and medication management. We’ve been able to create a community that feels like a true home, complete with gracious and functional spaces for everyone to enjoy. CornerStone is a place where we find spontaneous joy and celebrate life as it comes. We seek to praise God and to demonstrate His love to everyone we encounter.
We’re motivated to be faithful stewards of all that is entrusted to us—with loving service, respect, and good integrity.
Trust and transparency are at our core. That’s why we connect with each family member no less than once per month—to share encouraging news and updates on your loved one’s care.
“I knew I wanted to take care of seniors when my grandmother, Alice, became very ill when I was a little girl. Even in bad health, she kept her tender smile, compassion and continued to do what she could for everybody!”
Lesley has had the pleasure to work in many different facets of Senior Living. She first began in high school with a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course at age 16. After graduating, she then worked for 7 years at the Good Samaritan Society, and she’s been in the industry ever since!
Her career experience includes Medication Tech, Unit Secretary, Concierge, and Marketing Director. She has been serving in the role of Executive Director since 2017, when she first opened the community with a different company.
As of 2022, Lesley is excited to feel back at home with the CornerStone community. She values every relationship she has built over the many years here. And she’s always looking forward to cultivating new ones.
Lesley likes to golf, dance, travel, and go for hikes and walks. Lesley is also recently engaged! She and Elijah have a wedding date of October 14, 2022. They’re always laughing and are looking forward to one day raising a family here in Boise!
Being servant minded, Theresa has worked hard as a Receptionist, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant, and has grown her career to an Executive-Level Admin, serving officers of large, global corporations. Her calling to help people eventually led her to study Psychology and Social Work at Boise State University. She then served as a court advocate, volunteer with The Boys & Girls Club of Nampa, and intake associate for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance before returning to school for Human Resources and Business Management.
Still yearning to help others, Theresa found a position with a Senior Living community in 2016 as a Business Office Manager. She fell in love with the industry and all the residents and the amazing team.
In 2017, Theresa opened this community with Lesley Jacobson as her Business Office Manager and continued to gain experience in every department. She puts 100% of her trust in God, and she continues to look forward to working with a team of heroes who share the same passion and mission: to serve Seniors in the best way possible with love, compassion, and respect. She truly feels that this is where she is meant to be—home.
Theresa’s immediate family is exceptionally supportive as well. Her son also works at the CornerStone community and enjoys spending time with the residents. When she’s not working, Theresa enjoys singing, baking, and spending time with her family and their two dogs.
